Could you briefly introduce yourselves to our readers?
Hello! I’m Kairu from Taiwan. I studied 핸드 확률 Singapore at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, majoring 핸드 확률 Design Practice. Over the past two years, I’ve been fortunate to receive recognition 핸드 확률 several competitions, I was named an All-Star Winner at Portfolio Night hosted by The One Club for Creativity, won a D&AD New Blood Pencil, and received Gold at the Young Stars competition.
What motivated each of you to enter the advertising industry?
My first experience with advertising was about three years ago, when I worked on a brief from D&AD New Blood. That was when I realized how powerful ideas can be in addressing people’s real pain points. 핸드 확률 sparked something in me, the belief that creativity could truly make a difference. From that moment, I knew advertising was the path I wanted to pursue, and I’ve been striving ever since to bring creativity into reality.
Last year, you won at the MAD STARS Young Stars competition. What inspired you to take part 핸드 확률 Young Stars?
In 2023, I joined Young Stars with my friend Melina, and we won Silver together. The experience was unforgettable, we stayed in a shared youth hostel with participants from around the world. We ate, worked, and lived together, and for the first time, I found myself surrounded by young creatives my age who shared the same passion. They became my role models and truly inspired 핸드 확률.
That sense of connection and exchange of ideas was what drew 핸드 확률 back in 2024, wanted to feel those sparks again and meet more like-minded people.
Could you tell us more about your winning project?
We’d love to hear how the idea came about and how 핸드 확률 developed. Our campaign “What a Withering World” responded to the brief on the worsening environmental crisis. During brainstorming sessions, we often played music to ease the pressure. One day, while listening to “Green Green Grass,” we wondered, most songs celebrate the beauty of nature, but what if the world no longer matched those lyrics? What if nature lost its beauty because of human neglect?
That thought led us to reimagine the iconic “What a Wonderful World”, transforming 핸드 확률 into a version that reflects environmental decline. The aim was to draw attention to the crisis and urge people to help protect our planet before the songs we sing no longer reflect reality.

What was the most memorable moment or episode from the Young Stars experience?

I vividly remember the passion in everyone’s eyes as we spoke about our future. That night strengthened my determination to keep pursuing this path.
You have also achieved recognition at international festivals such as D&AD New Blood. When developing ideas, what key points do you focus on the most?
I’m still learning, so I wouldn’t say I have a perfect method yet. I usually explore different approaches: studying past award-winning work, doing intensive research, and more. But I’ve realized that forcing ideas rarely works — they often come when I least expect them, like when I’m not consciously thinking about 핸드 확률. I believe exposing yourself to diverse experiences in daily life helps ideas grow naturally in the back of your mind. (And if you have a “secret formula” for finding ideas, I’d love to know, I’m always learning!)
As a team, how do you balance your individual styles and opinions? Could you share how you usually collaborate?
Kelly and I are actually twin sisters (surprise!). Because of that, we know each other deeply and communicate very directly. We often share interesting projects with each other and collaborate naturally. What makes our teamwork strong is trust and honesty, I believe in her abilities completely, and she believes in 핸드 확률 too. That mutual trust allows us to work openly and effectively, even under the pressure of competitions.
The advertising industry is going through many changes. Which creative trends or areas do you find most exciting right now?
What excites us most right now is generative AI. 핸드 확률’s fascinating to see how quickly the technology is growing and how 핸드 확률’s starting to transform the creative industry. We’re especially interested in exploring how to treat AI as a collaborator — a friend, not a foe — to help us bring creativity to life in new ways.
What experience or influence has shaped your creativity the most so far?
Throughout my studies, I’ve interned at agencies including BBDO, LEGO, and MullenLowe. Each experience influenced 핸드 확률 in different ways, but what stood out most were the kind and brilliant mentors I met along the way. They guided 핸드 확률, challenged 핸드 확률, and shaped the way I approach creativity today.
How did your Young Stars experience become a turning point in your career? In what ways has 핸드 확률 influenced your approach to creative work afterwards?
Young Stars gave me strength and confidence. Completing a campaign within 30 hours under such intense pressure wasn’t easy, but 핸드 확률 showed me how strong my willpower and determination really are. While 핸드 확률 didn’t fundamentally change my creative process, 핸드 확률 trained me to work better under stress, a skill that I know will be invaluable throughout my career.
What advice or encouragement would you give to young creatives who want to challenge themselves at international advertising competitions?
Enjoy the moment! Competitions are about more than just results, they’re about the experience of pushing yourself to the limit, collaborating with your teammates, and connecting with people from around the world. Even if the outcome isn’t what you hoped for, the process itself will stay with you and give you strength when you look back on 핸드 확률 in the future.
Finally, what kind of creative projects or fields would you like to explore 핸드 확률 the future? Could you share your upcoming plans with us?
This September, I’ll be joining BBH Singapore as a Junior Art Director. I’m excited to bring my creativity into the real world and contribute to work that inspires and connects with people.
